ITR-V How to download and send to CPC?

Upon successful submission of your IT Return the IT department sends an ITR-V to your email address.

Search your email inbox for ITR-V sent to you by the IT Department from the email id with the subject ‘Confirmation on submission of IT Return’.

You can also search your email (select all folders) with the word ‘ITR-V’ and that should locate this email quickly!

You’ll need a password to open this file and the password is your PAN in small letters with your date of birth (no spaces in between).

Now PRINT this ITR-V and sign it in Blue ink and send it via ordinary or speed post (no couriers) to CPC Bangalore. You need to do so within 120 days of filing your IT Return. Here’s a complete detail of how to Send ITR-V to CPC Bangalore.

Just incase you are not able to locate your ITR-V in your mail box, here’s how you can download it.

Login on the government website The username is your PAN number. (The password here is different from the one you use ClearTax)

Once you login to the website, you will see a Dashboard – click on View Return/Forms

You can see the status of all the Returns filed by you, now click on the acknowledgement number (ack no)

Click under Download/Status Description ITR-V/Acknowledgement to download your ITR-V Details of Returns Submission
