Have you still not received your Income Tax Refund from Assessment Years 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12? This may be because you e-Filed but did not send the ITR-V to CPC Bangalore within 120 days.
Well, you have another chance now. You can send the ITR-V before the extended deadline of 31st March 2014 and the Tax Department will process the return within six months.
This extension is applicable for tax payers who e-Filed for Assessment Year 2009-10, 2010-11 and 2011-12.
Remember, you have to send the ITR-V by speed post only and should preserve the receipt received from the post office as evidence.

Check ITR-V Status and Download ITR-V
If your refund from those assessment years is held up, you should check if it is because of non-receipt of ITR-V from the Income Tax Department. Here’s how you check and then send the ITR-V:
- Go to https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/Services/ITRVStatusLink.html and enter your PAN number and AY.
- Check the status. If it is “ITR-V not received”, then you need to download your ITR-V and send it across.
- To download your ITR-V, login to your account on https://incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/ and click on “Download ITR”.
- Choose the assessment year and click on ITR-V / Acknowledgement to download.
