Do note these new guidelines for Digital Signing are applicable to all the uses above.

If you have not been able to use your DSC successfully in the recent past, it may be due to your browser settings. Java applets which were used by the e-filing website are not working in latest versions of Google Chrome, Mozilla or Internet Explorer. To resolve this issue the tax department has developed a software utility. To be able to use your DSC for your income tax return and for other purposes, you’ll have to download this utility in your computer and use it for signing with your DSC.
