Did you e-File for Assessment Years 2012-13 or 2013-14 but didn’t send your ITR-V to the Income Tax Department?
Well don’t delay, because you have one (final) chance to send it by March 31st as the department has extended the deadline for receiving ITR-V from Assessment Years 2012-13 and 2013-14.
You usually have a 120 day limit within which the ITR-V needs to be sent. If the Income Tax department does not receive it on time, you will not receive your refunds.
Previously, the Tax Department had extended the deadline for Income Tax returns for Assessment Year 2011-12 and earlier, but now this extension is valid for Assessment Year 2012-13 and 2013-14 too.
This means that if you have ANY old tax return whose ITR-V is pending, you should send it right away by speed post. Read our guide on Sending the ITR-V to CPC Bangalore for more details.
